This training course is designed to introduce individuals and groups to the basic principles of domestic surveying and to encourage them to get involved in reducing crime by carrying out domestic (home) security surveys at their place of residence. The aim of the course is to give communities and individuals the skills to make homes and property more resistant to theft and damage.

The course is broken into three two and a half-hour training sessions.

Who is the course for?
This session has been designed for use in the community with groups and individuals such as:

• community support officers
• tenants’ associations
• residents’ groups
• youth groups
• Neighbourhood Watch schemes

In fact, any organisation or group of individuals who are be interested in involving themselves in crime reduction will benefit from these sessions.

“Crime Reduction Basics” is a two and a half hour training session designed to introduce individuals and groups in the community to the basic principles of crime and disorder reduction and to encourage them to get involved in reducing crime, especially anti-social behaviour.

Emergency First Response (EFR) is the fastest-growing international CPR, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid training organization. Dedicated to training the lay rescuer, EFR courses encompasses adult, child and infant CPR skills, and provides AED and First Aid training for emergency preparedness and confidence that the emergency responder can provide care should an emergency situation arise.

Spiir can provide both security and non-security personnel training in hand-to-hand combat, self defense, and CQB as required by private and government organisations.

Our instructors are qualified and experienced in designing and delivering programmes suited to your specific needs, whether it be control and restraint, weapons disarming, or basic self defense, our programmes incorporate the latest tried and tested techniques using modern reality-based training methods.

The Information Security Risk Assessment course is a 3 day workshop developed in response to the demands of company owners, executives, directors, and managers keen to improve the effectiveness of their information and asset protection programmes and increase the relevance of risk assessment output produced by security personnel.

An effective risk assessment is the foundation upon which an information security system is built and the reason a system continues to improve, providing justification for security investment and management control over acceptable and unacceptable risk. A poor risk assessment can lead to underinvestment in the protection of critical assets, overinvestment in the protection of low risk assets, results being ignored by senior management and unfounded decisions being taken regarding security matters, and a misunderstanding of the real threat environment that may leave critical assets vulnerable, to name a few.
