Tagged:

ISO 27001 is an international standard which specifies the requirements for an information security management system (ISMS) within an organisation. This 1 day awareness training will introduce the standard to attendees with no prior knowledge of ISO 27001.

Company managers looking to understand ISO 27001 before taking the decision to implement within their organisation, and implementers assigned the task of establishing an ISMS will benefit from attendance in this workshop.

The days agenda will include: an introduction to information security, discussion on the benefits of an ISMS, an overview of the standard's content (including scope and policy, risk management, management responsibilities and internal audit), the steps involved in implementing an ISMS, and a brief overview of the 3rd party certification process.

The day's event will consist of both theoretical discussion and practical exercises to ensure that attendees gain a sound understanding of fundamental ISMS concepts and requirements.

Please feel free to contact us to register your interest in attending at the next seminar.

Information Security Risk Assessment Workshop

Tagged:

The Information Security Risk Assessment course is a 3 day workshop developed in response to the demands of company owners, executives, directors, and managers keen to improve the effectiveness of their information and asset protection programmes and increase the relevance of risk assessment output produced by security personnel.

An effective risk assessment is the foundation upon which an information security system is built and the reason a system continues to improve, providing justification for security investment and management control over acceptable and unacceptable risk. A poor risk assessment can lead to underinvestment in the protection of critical assets, overinvestment in the protection of low risk assets, results being ignored by senior management and unfounded decisions being taken regarding security matters, and a misunderstanding of the real threat environment that may leave critical assets vulnerable, to name a few.
